CHLORO BUTYL

Chlorobutyl is an elastomeric isobutylene-isoprene copolymer (halogenated butyl) containing reactive chlorine.

Chlorobutyl has the predominantly saturated backbone of butyl, it has many of the attributes of the butyl molecule:

ADVANTAGES OF RADIAL TYRES OVER BIAS TYRE

BETTER SAFETY: The braking efficiency of radial tires on wet roads is better due to stiffer tread and greater side wall flexibility.

BETTER CONTROL: On turning, a radial Tyre has less tendency to distort and lift off the road from one side. Thus, there is better contact of Tyre and hence stability

LESS PUNCTURE TENDENCY: The Radial tires are provided with dual steel belts due to which there is a less tendency of puncture

LOWER FUEL CONSUMPTION: The rolling resistance of radial Tyre is owe due to which sidewall rigidity and stiffer tread

GREATER RESISTANCE TO WEAR: Less slip and less internal losses life of Tyre increased

The advantage of bias ply Tyre over Radial Tyre is smoother ride at low speed of the vehicle
